Appointments to committees of the Council for 2006–07

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Appointments Panel has announced the composition of the Council's committees for 2006-07, as follows. All appointees are members of Council unless otherwise stated.

Education

The new chairman of the British Pharmaceutical Students Association (Jennifer De Val) is an ex officio member.

Other appointments

The panel has also made appointments to the Society’s Adjudicating Committee, Audit Committee, Governance Committee, Remuneration Committee. (Appointments to the Conference Committee were made in November 2005.) It has appointed the Council’s two representatives on each of the Society’s five membership and special interest group committees and two Council members to represent the Society within the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Correction
In the lists of appointments to committees of the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Education Committee list should have included, as ex officio members, the Academic Pharmacy Group chairman, Chris Rostron (Liverpool John Moores University), and vice-chairman, Jenny Scott (University of Bath). In the Science Committee list, Ijeoma Uchegbu should have been described as chairman of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
