Lipitor recalled again after counterfeits found in supply chain

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is recalling a batch (004405K1) of Lipitor (atorvastatin) tablets 20mg for the second time after more counterfeit tablets were discovered in the UK pharmaceutical supply chain.

The MHRA says patients should contact their pharmacist for replacement of affected packs and should leave 24 hours between taking the last tablet of batch 004405K1 and the first tablet of a new supply.
