Smoking ban consultation

The Department of Health has launched a consultation on proposed regulations for smoke-free premises in England. Health minister Caroline Flint said that the provisions are a huge step forward for public health and that the evidence of the risks to health from exposure to second-hand smoke is well established. The consultation closes on 9 October.
