Veterinary pharmacy diplomas presented

During the annual weekend meeting of the Society's Veterinary Pharmacists Group on 15 and 16 July (see p115), diplomas and certificates were presented to pharmacists who have successfully completed the Society's veterinary pharmacy courses.

The diploma in veterinary pharmacy was presented to Elaine Coulthard and John James Keating. Mrs Coulthard’s dissertation was entitled “An enquiry into the breeder’s view of treatment of disease and prophylaxis in three breeds of pedigree sheep” and Dr Keating’s dissertation was on “An assessment of the veterinary content of undergraduate pharmacy degree programmes in Ireland, UK, Australia and New Zealand”.

In addition, the Society’s postgraduate certificate in companion animal studies was presented to Leslie Wertheimer.

The presentations were made by the Society’s head of practice, Robert Clayton.
