Auction of Birdsgrove House contents
The contents of Birdsgrove House — the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's former convalescent home near Ashbourne, Derbyshire — are to be sold at auction next month. The proceeds of the sale will be used by the Society's Benevolent Fund to further its charitable work.
The sale will takes place at the house from 10.30am on 23 and 24 August,
giving pharmacists a chance to bid for mementos or to have a last look
at the house and its extensive grounds.
The house will be open for viewing of the sale items from 2 to 5pm on
20 August (Sunday), from 1 to 7pm on 21 August, from 10am to noon on
22 August and from 9am on the mornings of the sale days.
The contents are being sold by the Derbyshire auctioneers, Bamfords Ltd.

The house itself has been put on the market by Knight Frank with a guide
price of £1,875,000. The grade II listed mansion, with a former
coach house and a two-bedroom cottage, sits in 4.6 hectares of parkland
with a frontage on the River Dove.
