Pharmacists selected for leaders’ network
Paul Duell, a community pharmacist, and Jatinder Harchowal, a hospital pharmacist, have been invited to join a network of health and social care professionals set up to help advise Government ministers on NHS reform.
The Emerging Leaders Network for Health and Social Care is being set
up by the National
Leadership Network, which exists to advise Government
ministers. The purpose of the emerging leaders network is to assist with
this task and to help shape future
leaders.
Paul Duell, co-chairman of Tendring Primary Care Trust’s professional
executive committee and chief officer of Suffolk Local Pharmaceutical
Committee, said: “The diversity of the network is a real strength
of this development as we all come with a different perspective of delivering
health care. I believe the increased partnership working will create
new opportunities for pharmacists in the future to support the delivery
of the health care agenda.”
Jatinder Harchowal, chief pharmacist, Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, said: “This
is a great opportunity for the profession and me personally to be part
of the initiative to develop future health care leaders. I am looking
forward to being able to work with and learn from senior health care
professionals from all over the NHS and jointly contribute to the health
agenda.” |
