Deadline looms for public health register funding help
Public health pharmacists wishing to join the UK voluntary register for public health specialists have until next week to apply to the support programme for funding to help them develop their portfolio.
The “defined specialist portfolio development support programme”,
funded by the Department of Health, is aimed at senior public health
professionals wishing to apply for the role of “defined specialist” on
the voluntary register. The register was set up in 2003 to recognise
professional qualifications outside the medical profession and provide
public confidence by ensuring that only competent public health professionals
are registered.
The closing date for applications for the support programme is 11 August
2006. It is not expected that there will be additional funding in the
future. Further details from www.publichealthdevelopment.org.uk |
