Plan to simplify OTC warnings

A code of practice for the design of over-the-counter medicines packs is being developed through the Better Regulation of Over the Counter Medicines Initiative, health minister Lord Warner announced earlier this week.

As part of the programme, which aims to ease the burden of OTC medicines regulation, warnings on OTC products are to be reviewed with the aim of replacing them with information that is clear and in plain English.
