Telecare for older people

Using IT to remind older people to take their medicines is one part of the Telecare initiative which was rolled out across Scotland last week by the Scottish Executive.

Telecare involves fitting a number of electronic devices into homes to enable older people to stay in their own homes longer. Devices include fall sensors, panic buttons and flood detectors.
