Society makes one-to-one CPD training available at BPC 2006
One-to-one training sessions on continuing professional development (CPD) will be available to any practising pharmacist from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's exhibition stand at the 2006 British Pharmaceutical Conference, which runs from 4 to 6 September at the Manchester International Convention Centre.
Throughout the conference, visitors to the Society’s stand will
have the opportunity to complete a 30-minute online tuition session,
guided if necessary by an experienced CPD facilitator. There is no charge
for the tuition.
Places for CPD tuition sessions must be booked on the day at the Society’s
stand (number 47), and will be offered on a first come, first served
basis. The offer is open to casual visitors to the exhibition — which
is free to enter — as well as to those who have registered for
the conference.
The chairman of the Conference Committee for BPC 2006, Colin Ranshaw,
saids: “With CPD set to become mandatory in spring 2007 it is important
that all pharmacists are feeling confident in maintaining a CPD record.
This half-hour session is designed to help anyone who is yet to start
recording their CPD and those who have made a start but need support
to continue.”
