Society co-operates with The Independent to produce a sixth pharmacy careers supplement
For the sixth time in three years, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has co-operated with The
Independent to publish a supplement promoting careers in pharmacy.
The supplement is to be circulated with the newspaper on 31 August. Copies
will also be distributed at the British Pharmaceutical Conference in
Manchester from 4 to 6 September and with The Pharmaceutical Journal of 9 September. It will also be made available via the Society’s
website.
The supplement will include reports on innovations in pharmacy and emerging
new roles for pharmacists. It will highlight the contribution pharmacists
make to health care and explore the career paths available in pharmacy.
The chairman of the Society’s Education Committee, Graham Phillips,
said: “Our work with The Independent gives us a national platform
to help inspire and encourage young people to think about career opportunities
in pharmacy and also helps bring people’s attention to the changing
face of the profession.
