Clinical lead wanted for electronic prescribing in England

NHS Connecting for Health is looking for a pharmacist or GP to appoint as clinical lead for the electronic prescription service in primary care. The appointed individual will provide clinical advice and support to the electronic prescription service programme in England.

The post will require a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a pharmacist or GP and an understanding of all aspects of managing and assuring primary care clinical prescribing or dispensing systems. The appointee will be ultimately responsible for clinical assurance during the design and testing of clinical systems and will also work with clinicians, professional bodies and NHS organisations to support effective clinical engagement.
