FIP elects new president

Kamal Midha, professor at the college of pharmacy and nutrition, University of Alberta, Canada, has been elected for a four-year term as president of the International Pharmaceutical Federation. Professor Midha has been vice-president of FIP since 1998.
FIP says that Professor Midha’s longstanding involvement in the
organisation spans both the practice and scientific branches of the federation
and will serve as a solid foundation on which to foster the goals and
aims of his presidency. Professor Midha said: “I am fully aware
of the direction and leadership that FIP requires to ensure its future
success in this changing and challenging world.”
Outgoing president Jean Parrot said: “I hope that Professor Midha
will be as enriched as I have been in the mission of the development
and promotion of pharmacy in the world.”
