Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences commends five posters
Five researchers had their scientific posters commended by the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and were awarded a prize at the British Pharmaceutical Conference. Each winner was given a certificate and a cheque for £100.
The winners were: · Hassan Ghonaim, from the department of pharmacy and pharmacology,
University of Bath, for his poster entitled “Design of lipospermine
non-viral gene delivery vectors for self-assembly DNA nanoparticle formulations”
· Tristan Learoyd, from the inhalation technology research team at Aston
University for “Spray-dried w/o/w double emulsions can generate
respirable powders for sustained drug delivery”
· Rita Ramos from the School of Pharmacy, University of London, for “Isothermal
methods to investigate the structural relaxation of amorphous
materials”
· Marco Cespi from the School of Pharmacy and Chemistry at Liverpool
John Moores University for “The influence of alcohol on aspirin
release from hypromellose matrix tablets”
· George Cathcart from Queen’s University, Belfast, School of Pharmacy,
for “Solid phase synthesis and biological screening of N-mercaptomide
template-based Pseudomonas elastase (LasB) inhibitors as putative antibiofilm
compounds”. |
