Second book of multiple choice questions in pharmacy practice
A second book of multiple choice questions in pharmacy practice is now available from the the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's publishing division, the Pharmaceutical Press.
‘Further MCQs in
pharmacy practice’ is a revision aid covering
a range of topics commonly featured in pharmacy undergraduate, registration
and licensing multiple choice examinations.
Among the topics included are general interventions in pharmacy practice,
pharmaceutical care, simple pharmaceutical calculations, doses
and strengths, nomenclature and
abbreviations, dosage forms, specialties, trade and generic names, biochemical
tests, classification, side effects and common diseases.
The book is a companion volume to ‘MCQs
in pharmacy practice’,
published two years ago. Like its predecessor, it contains 600 practice-oriented
questions and includes both open- and closed-book sections. Answers with
brief explanations are given at the end of each test.
Both books are edited by Lilian Azzopardi, a senior lecturer in the department
of pharmacy at the University of Malta. Both are 368-page paperbacks,
priced at £19.95.
