Compensation for scrapped oxygen headsets will depend on how many there are

Arrangements for decommissioning fees for oxygen headsets have been agreed between the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the Department of Health.

All claims will have to be submitted by December and the precise level of the compensatory payments will be calculated once the total number of claims has been determined.

However, it remains the intention, the PSNC says, to pay a higher rate for headsets purchased or reconditioned since August 2004. A claim form will be made available online and the arrangements will be published in the October Drug Tariff.
