SMS text functionality built into dispensary system

SMS text functionality

Patients can now be reminded when to take their medicines

Text messages and e-mails can now be sent direct to patients using the QicScript PMR dispensary system developed by Systems Solutions Ltd. Users can also print letters to be posted to patients.

Systems solutions claims to be the first pharmacy IT provider to incorporate these functions into its system.

The messages can be sent to individuals or can be written in advance and then sent to selected groups of patients.

Systems Solutions says that the messages are a cost-effective way for pharmacists to remind patients to collect prescriptions, to attend appointments or to take their medicines.
