Council to discuss S60 Order

At the special September Council meeting, a proposal to take a new look at the Pharmacy and Pharmacy Technicians Order under Section 60 of the Health Act 1999 was put forward by Dorothy Drury.

Mrs Drury believed that the Council needed to consider recent developments in the profession, including comments made at the British Pharmaceutical Conference during the session addressed by the chief pharmaceutical officers and advisers for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (PJ, 9 September, p313).

The Council agreed that it would not consider the matter as part of its formal meeting but would hold an informal discussion.
