New boss at Phoenix

Pharmaceutical wholesaler Phoenix Medical Supplies is to have a new chief executive officer from 1 February next year. He is Paul Smith, currently managing director of Rowlands Pharmacy, Phoenix’s retail division. Retiring CEO David Cole will become deputy chairman.

Mr Smith’s replacement as MD of Rowlands Pharmacy will be Kenny Black, who has worked at Rowlands since 1999 and has been a Phoenix director since 2002.
