BOC sets date for end of oxygen deliveries to pharmacies

BOC will stop delivering home oxygen cylinders to all community pharmacies in England by December, it was announced this week.

From 17 November cylinders from BOC will no longer be available to pharmacies in these regions: East Midlands; London North; Yorkshire and Humberside; South East London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex; South West London, Thames Valley, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight; Eastern; and North East. From 20 November, pharmacies in South West region, and from 30 November pharmacies in West Midlands and North-West region, will no longer be able to obtain cylinders.

BOC says it will make an announcement regarding oxygen cylinder supplies in Wales in December.
