“Analyst” system approved

NHS Connecting for Health has given the go-ahead for national roll-out of Analyst, the electronic prescription service-compatible pharmacy system from Positive Solutions. This latest approval brings the number of pharmacy systems authorised for national roll-out to six, four of which are available commercially.

Martin Jones, commercial manager at Positive Solutions, estimates that nearly 85 per cent of England’s pharmacies will now have access to EPS-compliant systems through their suppliers and that primary care trusts will move ahead rapidly with their local deployment programmes.

A total of 15,774 pharmacists have now registered to use the EPS (as of 30 October).

The compliance status of all pharmacy systems and the number of pharmacists registered as users is updated regularly and is detailed on the NHS CfH website
