Phenobarbital sodium in BNFC
The units for the rate of administration of phenobarbital sodium by intravenous injection in the administration paragraph on p261 of BNFC 2006 are incorrect. The statement should read: “For intravenous injection, dilute to a concentration of 20mg/ml with Water for Injections; give over 20 minutes (no faster than 1mg/kg/minute).” The error will be corrected in BNFC 2007.
