Noxafil
The summary of product characteristics for Noxafil (posaconazole; Schering-Plough)
40mg/ml oral suspension has
been updated to include an additional indication for oropharyngeal candidiasis
(as a first-line therapy in patients who have severe disease or are immunocompromised,
in whom response to topical therapy is expected to be poor).The SPC now
also lists recommended doses according to indication and the undesirable
effects section has been updated. See SPC.
Taxotere
The summary of product characteristics for Taxotere (docetaxel; sanofi-aventis)
has been updated to include an additional indication, in combination
with cisplatin and
5-fluorouracil, for induction treatment of patients with inoperable locally
advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Dosage information
and undesirable effects relating to this indication have also been added.
