NES offers training to support staff

Pharmacy support staff in Scotland are to be offered training by NHS Education for Scotland from early 2007.

The NES pharmacy directorate will produce a national educational framework for pharmacy support staff, with funding from both NES and the Scottish Executive Health Department. NES will initially offer training to pharmacy technicians (working in community or hospital pharmacy) before widening the opportunities to all pharmacy support staff.
