Brian Gibbons, Health and Social Services Minister for the Welsh Assembly Government, opened the new premises of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in Cardiff this week.

Earlier in the day the new office hosted the first Welsh Pharmacy Board meeting, at which Peter Jones was elected chairman and Marc Donovan vice-chairman.

Dr Gibbons said that the new office would allow the Society to meet the challenge of engaging more widely with the profession in Wales and provide a location for pharmacists to meet to discuss issues affecting the whole of Wales. “Hopefully it will be the start of something new, building on what we have achieved today,” he added.
