Results of elections to CPW committees announced

Community Pharmacy Wales has announced the results of the elections of representatives for its regional committees for 2007 to 2011.

Elections were held for the mid and west Wales regional committee and the south east Wales regional committee. There was no election in the north Wales region because there were five nominations for the five places on the committee. The new committees will be effective from 1 April.

Over 50 per cent of contractors voted in the elections. Peter Hadyn Jones, chief executive of CPW, said he was impressed by the high response rate, which he said mandated the committees to take the pharmacy agenda forward in these regions.

The new members of the north Wales regional committee are: Ian Cowan, William Llyr Hughes, Carwyn Jones, Gwyn Peris Jones, Shan Jones, Phil Mulholland, Tony Neville, Sohael Rajput, Tim Williams, Stephanie Woodcraft and Christine Wyn-Jones. The new members of the mid and west Wales regional committee are: Sarah Bailey, Jon David, Huw Evans, Richard Evans, Sam Jenkins, Christopher James, Ailsa Jones, Peter John Jones, John Llewelyn, Gwyn Morris, Mark Owen, Phil Parry and Steve Ridd. The new members of the south and east Wales regional committee are: Raj Aggarwal, Lyn Aubrey, Hugh Bradley, Richard Connick, Steve Davies, Marc Donovan, Sarah Edwards, Allan Gilbert, Mark Griffiths, Bob Lester, Paul Mayberry, John McGrath and Chris Perrington.
