The Bolton branch of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has raised more than £2,000 to support a local charity.
At the branch annual general meeting on 8 February, a cheque for £2,254
was presented to a representative of Bolton Hospice. The money was raised
through a sponsored walk in September 2006 organised by branch committee
members Joan and Bill Williams.
The presentation was made by branch chairman Helen McKnight before she
handed over the chairmanship of the branch to her successor, Andrew White.
