Regional conference provides CPD support for pharmacists

Pharmacists in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's South East England Region had the opportunity to put continuing professional development (CPD) into practice at a regional conference on 4 March 2007.
The conference focused on long-term conditions — particularly rheumatoid
arthritis — and the pharmacist’s role in improving patient
care and compliance.
Speakers included Beth Taylor, national development lead pharmacist and
vice-chairman of the Society’s English Pharmacy Board, and Gillian
Arr-Jones, deputy head, Controlled Drugs regulation, Healthcare Commission.
Individual and tutor-led CPD sessions were available to give participants
individual help and advice.
Regional chairman Roy Daisley, who organised the conference, described
the day as extremely successful. The identified learning outcomes had
been fully met and participants had been given ideas, help and confidence
for the completion of their CPD entries.
The Society has made special funding available in 2007 for regional meetings
to support pharmacists’ CPD needs. For further information e-mail b&ra@rpsgb.org |
