Tribute

Lindsay In a tribute to the late Peter James Edwin Lindsay, JON PORTEOUS writes:

Peter Lindsay died after a year’s struggle against illness. He was perhaps best known for opening the Lindsay group of pharmacies in the Studley, Redditch and Alcester areas. His vision was to open each pharmacy with a young, enthusiastic partner and to guide the development of the group with an aim to sell his half share in the pharmacies when he retired. He oversaw this for more than 20 years and was enjoying his retirement when he found out about his illness.

Peter was a true visionary about the development and future of pharmacy. In many ways he was ahead of his time, especially with computer tehnology.

I first met Peter in 1984 and was impressed by his knowledge of business and pharmacy and moreover by his generosity. He gave me the opportunity to buy a share in a pharmacy and to develop it, with only a light hand from him to steer me in the right direction.

I shall miss him greatly. I wish Sandra and her family strength to manage their loss.
