Champion role extended

Funding for Scotland's pharmacy contract practitioner champions to continue their role during 2007–08 was announced this week.

Practitioner champions are community pharmacists who support other pharmacists to implement the new contract. They are due to attend a workshop in Edinburgh on 16 April, a programme for which is published this week in an NHS circular. The circular also describes the responsibilities of the champions and how the £300,000 funding will be allocated between NHS boards.
