Beverley Parkin has resigned from her position as Director of Public Affairs and Communications for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Ms Parkin joined the Society in 1990 as public relations manager. In 1998 she was promoted to director of the newly created Directorate of Public Affairs. Over time the scope of the role evolved to that of Director of Public Affairs and Communications.

The Society’s Secretary and Registrar, Ann Lewis, said: “In her capacity as Director of Public Affairs and Communications Beverley contributed to the Society’s work in a number of areas, which included the development of a highly effective parliamentary programme. We wish her well with any future endeavours.”
