Another Independent supplement on pharmacy
For the seventh time in just over three years the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has co-operated with The Independent to publish a supplement promoting careers in pharmacy. The latest supplement will be published on Thursday 29 March.
Articles in the supplement will focus on developments in pharmacy across
England, Scotland and Wales. They will include an interview with the
first primary care pharmacist in the UK to be offered a partnership in
a GP practice, a report highlighting the changing role of the primary
health care team, a profile of the work of pharmacy technicians and a
report on the support pharmacists provide in areas of public health such
as tests for diabetes, support with weight loss and quitting smoking
programmes.
The chairman of the Society’s Education Committee, Graham Phillips,
said: “This Independent supplement will place particular emphasis
on developments in practice and primary care — helping to raise
public awareness of the expert skills and knowledge of pharmacists and
the changing role of the profession in these key areas of health care.”
The supplement will also be distributed with The Pharmaceutical Journal on 7 April and will be made available on the Society’s website
(www.rpsgb.org).
