YPG Pharmacy prospectus (PDF 550K)

YPG pharmacy plans coming to fruition after five years

Plans announced five years ago by the Young Pharmacists Group to open a model pharmacy to show how to maximise, develop and build on current opportunities are expected to come to fruition in the summer.

The pharmacy will open in the Priory Road Estate, Dudley, West Midlands, with a local pharmaceutical services (LPS) contract.

The pharmacy will be operated by two companies limited by guarantee, and all profits will be ploughed back into the enterprise or used to further associated educational aims.

Initially, the pharmacy will provide essential and enhanced services, followed by phased implementation over 18 to 24 months of a range of advanced services and projects related to Dudley Primary Care Trust’s public health agenda.

The YPG was awarded the LPS contract after Dudley PCT invited interested parties to apply. The YPG project was subsequently selected from a shortlist of three applicants.
