Disciplinary Committee holds its first inquiries next week
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society's new Disciplinary Committee is to hold its first inquiries at a two-day meeting next week (see Official
Notices, p441).
The new committee is one of two successors to the Statutory Committee,
which will wind up its work over the next year: meeting in public, the
Disciplinary Committee will hear cases that have no health implications;
meeting in private, the Health Committee will hear health-related cases.
Cases will be referred to the new committees by the Investigating Committee,
which succeeds the Infringements Committee. The new committees have been
established under the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007,
made under the Health Act 1999.
