Irish pharmacy regulation

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, which has a wholly elected council, is to be dissolved and replaced by a new society with a lay majority of 11 on its council of 21 appointed members.

The new society has purely regulatory functions (PJ, 17 March, p297).
