BPSA honours Society's membership manager
Amanda King, membership manager at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, has been awarded honorary life membership of the British Pharmaceutical Students Association.
Ms King is one of only a few non-pharmacists to have received the honour
and is the only member of the Society’s staff ever to be so honoured.
BPSA president Jennifer de Val told The Journal that the association
can award honorary life membership to individuals who have given their
time or expertise to the association above and beyond the call of duty,
and who have undertaken outstanding service for the association. Ms King,
she added, had given invaluable guidance and advice to the BPSA executive
over the years. She had supported the strong relationship between the
Society and the association, which served to ensure that pharmacy students
and BPSA members were a vital part of the profession.
