Drug costs show signs of controlIn 2006, the number of prescriptions dispensed in the community in England was 4.4 per cent up on 2005. The rates of increase in 2005 and 2004 were 5.0 per cent and 5.6 per cent, respectively. Drug costs, too, show a trend towards slower increases, with the 2004 increase of 7.58 per cent having been slashed to a 1.8 per cent drop in 2005 and returning to only a 3.3 per cent increase in 2006. |
