SPC changes

Prozac
The summary of product characteristics for Prozac (fluoxetine; Lilly UK) now warns that Prozac oral liquid contains sucrose, and that patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take Prozac oral liquid. In addition, erythema multiforme that could progress to Stevens-Johnson syndrome has been added as an undesirable effect. See SPC.

Revatio
The summary of product characteristics for Revatio (sildenafil citrate; Pfizer) has been updated to include priapism and prolonged erection as additional adverse events. See SPC.

Reyataz
The summary of product characteristics for Reyataz (atazanavir; Bristol-Myers Squibb) has been updated to include additional information about interactions between Reyataz and triazolam and midazolam. See SPC.

Discontinued products

Dermovate-NN
GlaxoSmithKline will discontinue Dermovate-NN (clobetasol proprionate, neomycin sulphate and nystatin) cream 30g from June. Customer services on 0800 221441.

HeliClear
Wyeth has discontinued HeliClear (amoxicillin 500mg, clarithromycin 500mg, lansoprazole 30mg). The active ingredients remain available in products from different suppliers. Customer services on 0845 8505544.

Nimbex
GlaxoSmithKline has discontinued Nimbex (cisatracurium) injection 2.5ml five-ampoule packs and injection 5ml five-ampoule packs. Other presentations remain available. Customer services on 0800 221441.

Oilatum
