Heart failure interventions

Evidence supporting pharmacists' role in heart failure is published in Annals of Internal Medicine (2007;146:714).

The study shows pharmacist intervention improves adherence to cardiovascular medicines and leads to a decrease in use of health services. The authors say benefits are only likely to be sustained if the intervention is continuous.
