DoH underlines community pharmacists' public health role

Pharmacists' role in public health is highlighted in the Department of Health's annual review, published last week.

“Pharmacies have a very important contribution to make to improving health and reducing health inequalities,” the report says. “They are ideally placed in the heart of the communities they serve to impart healthy lifestyle messages both to people who are well and to those who are not.”
