Professional leadership focus at Scottish annual meeting
Professional leadership is to be debated at the annual meeting of Royal Pharmaceutical Society members in Scotland. The meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 12 June at the Society's house in Edinburgh.
A panel of speakers will comprise Peter Noyce, professor of pharmacy
practice at the University of Manchester, Bill Scott, chief pharmaceutical
officer for Scotland, and the Society’s President for 2007–08
(who will be elected by the Council on 6 June).
The Scottish Pharmacy Board hopes that many members will attend to hear
the panel’s views, to participate in the discussion, which will
also consider how professional leadership contributes to the wider debate
surrounding the Government’s regulation White Paper and the future
of the profession in Scotland.
During the evening, board chairman Rose Marie Parr will present the board’s
annual report for 2006–07 and David Thomson will report on his
second year as Council member for Scotland.
