BRM asks for a more detailed guide to changes in each new edition of MEP

The branch representatives’ meeting carried without debate a motion calling for each new edition of ‘Medicines, ethics and practice: a guide for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians’ to carry a detailed explanation of changes introduced since the previous edition.

Proposing the motion, Joy Wingfield (Nottingham) said that, when trying to compare the 29th and 30th editions of MEP, she had found that the “Changes in this edition” page lacked clarity and detail as to what had actually changed.

The Council claimed that providing detail of all the changes would be cumbersome and impractical, Dr Wingfield added, but another Society publication, the British National Formulary, managed to give details of every change, with page and paragraph numbers, in its “Changes for this edition” section.
