Use topical corticosteroids od

Older topical corticosteroids, like newer preparations, should be applied just once a day, according to Hywel Williams, of the centre of evidence based dermatology, Queen’s Medical Centre, University of Nottingham (BMJ 2007;334:1272).

Professor Williams argues that less frequent application of potent corticosteroids does not result in loss of efficacy and could lead to fewer local side effects. He suggests that once daily use will be more convenient for patients and may reduce costs.
