Society publishes new MHRA guide for pharmaceutical wholesalers
A new guide for pharmaceutical wholesalers, compiled by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, is now available from the Pharmaceutical Press (the book publishing imprint of the RPS Publishing arm of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society).
‘Rules
and guidance for pharmaceutical distributors’ contains
EU and UK guidelines on good wholesaling practice and information on
EU
and UK legislation affecting distributors of medicines for human use
in Europe.
The 96-page paperback guide reproduces the elements of the MHRA’s “Orange
guide” (‘Rules and guidance for pharmaceutical manufacturers
and distributors’) that are specific to wholesale supply and distribution
of medicines for human use. The 2007
edition of the “Orange guide” has
also been published by the Pharmaceutical Press (PJ, 17 February, p201),
after more than 35 years as a Stationery Office publication.
The new guide costs £19.95.
