Funding for support staff training available in Scotland

Pharmacy contractors in Scotland can claim up to £800 for staff training during 2007–08, the Scottish Executive announced last week.

The funding is a continuation of that made available in the past two years and aims to help pharmacists prepare for the new community pharmacy contract. Funding can be used for National/Scottish Vocational Qualifications in pharmacy services or accredited checking technician training.
