People are seeking advice from pharmacists about conditions they find embarrassing by using photographs of the problem taken with a mobile telephone or digital camera, according to Boots The Chemists.

Over 5,000 visitors to Boots stores during the past six months have sought advice in this way for conditions like heat rash, verrucas, corns and calluses, and other problems.

A full diagnosis can then be made in the privacy of a consultation room, says Boots.
