Paracetamol for ankle pain

Paracetamol is as effective as naproxen in relieving ankle-sprain discomfort in children, say researchers, who compared the two drugs in 77 children, aged eight to 14 years. Both drugs decreased pain and the degree of disability, but neither was statistically more effective than the other.

The study is published online in the Annals of Pharmacotherapy (17 July 2007).
