Three candidates in Welsh by-election

Three pharmacists in Wales are contesting the by-election to fill a casual vacancy on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Council. The pharmacist place is reserved to the national constituency of Wales, following the resignation of Colin Ranshaw from the Council (PJ, 9 June, p687).

The three candidates are: Margaret Jones (known as Allan) from Penarth, Michael MacDonald from Cardiff, and Mark Griffiths from Tredegar.

A booklet containing biographical information and candidates’ statements of policy will be posted to voters with the voting papers on 3 August.

The biographical details are also scheduled to be published in The Pharmaceutical Journal of 4 August. The closing date for the return of voting papers will be 31 August and the election result will be published in The Journal of 8 September 2007.
