Non-GP work in surgeries rises

Patient consultations undertaken by “other clinicians” — a group which includes pharmacists — have doubled from 2 per cent to 4 per cent in general practice over the past decade, a report, published this week by The Information Centre, indicates.

The 2006/07 GP workload survey was also published by the centre this week.
