Pandemic influenza contracts

Advanced supply contracts to provide a vaccine for pandemic influenza have been awarded by the Department of Health to GlaxoSmithKline and Baxter Healthcare.

The contracts, worth £155.4m over four years, commit the companies to supply a vaccine once the pandemic strain is identified and made known by the World Health Organization.
